I have been a teacher and tutor for over twenty years and as an examiner for the past two years. Over this time, I have realized that many students suffer from a lack of confidence stemming from their misguided perception that they are not smart enough! My aim has been to show my students how to learn, how to organize their thinking and in turn their writing, how to sort through masses of written text and find and use core ideas in their school and academic work. I have tried to instill in my students a passion for learning and thinking – trusting their own creative voice and expressing it in an academically sound manner.

Now, I deliver Mind Mapping and iMindMap seminars for educators, SEN teachers, psychologists and speech therapists. I also show students, of all educational levels and learning abilities or difficulties, how to apply Mind Mapping and make reading and revision more fun and more effective, facts more memorable and answers to essay and exam questions more structured, comprehensive and original.
