Jayne began her corporate career in 1987 with KP Foods, a division of United Biscuits, within the sales team. She continued working for United Biscuits for six years, during which time she was promoted into various key marketing roles including marketing manager for Perfect Pizza, retailer brands manager for Terry’s confectionery, group brand manager for Terry’s seasonal confectionery range and marketing manager for Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
In 1993, Jayne began a career as a marketing consultant and worked with major blue-chip clients including Heinz UK and Rank Hovis McDougall. Her consultancy assignments focused on new product development, brand strategy development and creative advertising.
Following a two-year period to complete her MBA, Jayne established The Thinking Business in February 2000. Jayne’s mission is to help individuals and organisations around the world think their way to success by unlocking their brainpower and helping them to develop highly effective thinking skills. Her clients range from global organisations through to SME’s in addition to her personal one-to-one coaching work.
Jayne was trained by and has co-trained with Tony Buzan, the creator of the now world-famous Mind Mapping® technique. She is one of Tony Buzan’s top trainers in Mind Mapping®, Speed Reading, Memory Techniques and Accelerated Learning. Jayne is also a Certified Practitioner of the HBDI Thinking Styles psychometric tool.
