The more you sell, the more you earn

As an Affiliate you are eligible to 10% commission of every sale you make.

All Affiliates run at the 10% level and if you hit the £500 sales per calendar month target, you will receive 20% extra commission, making your commission rate 30% for that month’s payment. On the 1^st of the next month you will return to 10% base commission. To show you how this will work in practice:

* Exceeds the Affiliate Bonus Target of £500.00, so you qualify for the Affiliate Bonus Commission of 20% on top of your standard Affiliate Commission of 10%

Commission is based on the total price paid for the product(s) - minus VAT or tax. We pay all Affiliate Commission in British Pounds (£), therefore if your customer paid in US Dollars ($) or Euros (€) their purchase and your commission is converted into British Pounds (£), which is calculated using the current exchange rate at the time of purchase. This information can be accessed and visible for you to see within your Affiliate Reports.

Your commission for each sale is calculated based on the 10% base commission rate.

Please note that we do occasionally offer discounts to customers; if one of your customers buys a product at a discounted rate your commission is based on the discounted price.

Your sales commission is based on the actual purchase price, excluding VAT and shipping and packaging costs.

These are the rates as of the 29th March 2011.

A 'return' period of 90 days will apply for sales generated by one of your leads i.e. your lead will remain 'active' on our system for 90 days and commission would be paid if they purchased within this period.

If you are using PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising there will be exclusions on some search terms for promotion of iMindMap. These include the terms iMindMap, Mind Mapping, Mind Maps, Mind Mapping Software, Tony Buzan, or any near matches to these terms. Please check with us for permission before using any such terms in PPC campaigns. This list is not exhaustive and may change at any time.

Tracking Your Sales

The ThinkBuzan Affiliate Programme utilises an inclusive sales tracking system which combines several effective tracking methods to ensure that you receive commission for any ThinkBuzan website sales that are introduced by you. These methods include:

• A specially encoded URL for the Affiliate
• Cookies placed in the end user computer to track return visitors
• Email address tracking – as a final means, users can be tracked by the email address that they used to register for the product evaluation

Many Affiliate Systems only allow you to directly link, using your Affiliate Tracking, to a website's homepage. Our new Affiliate System offers ultimate flexibility allowing you to link to ANY page on our site with your Affiliate Tracking applied. This means you can drive potential customers to specific articles, videos, product pages, resources or even direct to the Buy Now page, so you can target your marketing, increase user interest and maximise sales.

This process has been made extra simple – you simply add your Affiliate Code to the end of any url from our website e.g. www.ThinkBuzan.com/products would be www.ThinkBuzan.com/products/a_id/YOUR_AFFILIATE_CODE

The Process

• Signing up online is easy. Just fill in the online form and we will review your application. Once your application is approved we will email you full instructions on how to get started.
• You are then assigned a specially encoded tracking URL in the form of www.ThinkBuzan.com/[affiliatecode]/. You are able to use this URL to promote ThinkBuzan products through your preferred channels for example, by uploading the link to your website, using it in email campaigns, and even displaying it on offline materials. Please note that your Affiliate Code is assigned automatically, this cannot be chosen or preselected.
• The activity of visitors that are directed to the ThinkBuzan website via your link can be easily monitored by our system. In order to receive their download links, all visitors are required to enter their email address when making their evaluation request. This provides us with additional data for tracking subsequent sales.
• Should users visit the ThinkBuzan website direct (without entering via your URL) the system will recognise them as your users through cookie based tracking. The sale will consequently be assigned to you.
• If the user has disabled cookies and does not visit the site to purchase via your Affiliate link, we are still able to verify that they are an Affiliate user through their email address details. Hence, the sale will still be recorded accurately as being initially introduced by you.
• A 'last Affiliate wins' system is applied where a particular customer is assigned to the last Affiliate site he/she visited prior to entering the ThinkBuzan website and completing a transaction. For instance, if the user visits Affiliate A; enters the ThinkBuzan website but does not complete a transaction; then later visits Affiliate B, enters the ThinkBuzan website again and makes a purchase, the customer is assigned to Affiliate B and the commission is paid to Affiliate B.

Ordering Stock

iMindMap Affiliates will be able to order iMindMap licenses on behalf of their customers or trainees over the phone using a credit card. The corresponding commission will then be manually added to their Affiliate account after the sale has been made.

All approved Affiliates can also order the iMindMap software on CD-ROM (boxed) and benefit from the same discounts. There will be a cost for shipping the CD-ROM and box to you and payment must be made in advance. The cost of each CD-ROM and packaging is £2.50 plus cost of shipping.

If you wish to order iMindMap on CD-ROM please email affiliates@ThinkBuzan.com with details of quantity and delivery address. We will send you a PayPal Money Request which will include details of the shipping cost. If you accept this and once the PayPal Money Request is paid, the goods will be shipped to you.

Please note that delivery can take up to 14 days.

iMindMap Online

ThinkBuzan Affiliates will be able to earn commission not only from iMindMap desktop sales but also on iMindMap Online subscriptions, based on the same conditions. Please be aware though that Affiliates will not earn any commission from any iMindMap Online subscription renewals.

Reporting and Payment

A web based Affiliate sales report system is available for all Affiliates.

You can access this by logging in and going to the Affiliate section. Here you can generate a basic report for any given date period. The report will display the total number of click-throughs, sales, downloads (by operating system) and the number of licenses sold as result of your activity.

We will pay you on a monthly basis, approximately 30 days following the end of the calendar month for the commissions earned on the licenses sold within that month. Your commission will only be paid if it is greater than GBP £250, otherwise it will be carried forward into the next month.
