Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions laid out below are the basis of the contract between ThinkBuzan and yourself. Please read them carefully as a contract is a legally binding agreement.

Training Bookings

Bookings for course, seminars and events must be made via the official ThinkBuzan Training Enrolment Form or through our Online Booking page. Upon full or part payment for the course, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions

Charges and Payments

Payment for Training Services which shall be due upon the issuing of an invoice and are to be paid within 30 days. If invoices are issued less than 30 days before the course date, then the invoice must be paid immediately. We will not accept any attendees on any courses unless full payment has been received prior to the start time of the course.

Amending Bookings

We understand that occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, applicants may have to alter their arrangements. In these cases every effort will be made to accommodate the change although this cannot be guaranteed.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, you may have someone substitute for your participation in the program. Call the ThinkBuzan Team +44 (0)20 71 177 173 or from the USA, 1–800–961–4582 at least 10 days prior to the event to transfer your enrolment.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend and do not wish to substitute your place, we are happy to transfer your booking onto another ThinkBuzan Course, providing we can resell your originally booked place.

If we are able to resell your originally booked place we will provide a non-refundable credit that you may use for any future ThinkBuzan courses or training events for up to one full year from your original event date. Some restrictions apply. The credit cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.

There is a fee of £100 (plus tax if applicable) to transfer from one course to another to cover the costs associated with this. In order to transfer your place we would require this amount to be paid upon your notification to ThinkBuzan of your intention to transfer your place.

If however we are unable to resell your place (and you can't provide a replacement) you will lose the full cost of your booking.

Training Services and Location

It may be necessary from time to time to change/cancel course dates, content, venues and prices from those published. We will make every effort to transfer your booking, together with any payment made, to the next available course at your preferred venue. If there are no suitable alternatives a full refund will be issued. It should be noted that we will NOT be held liable for any costs/losses incurred as a result of any such changes, including travel arrangements and accommodation.

Confidentiality

The parties shall treat as and keep confidential all information whether of a technical, commercial or any other nature relating to the other party and shall not, during the period of this Agreement, or at any time after its termination, divulge any such information to any person not authorised by the divulging party to receive it and shall not utilise any secret or confidential knowledge or information acquired in connection with this Agreement to the detriment or prejudice of the other party or use the same for any purposes save for the purposes of this Agreement.

Filming

During the duration of the course some unobtrusive filming may take place. If you do not want to be involved please let us know at the start of the course.

If you partake in any filming you will be providing your consent to the release of your image, likeness and the sound of your voice. You will also be agreeing that the footage may be edited and used, in whole or in part, in all media, including, but not limited to, audio and video cassettes, CD-ROM, DVD Internet, television, radio and cable broadcast, and for all other purposes in perpetuity throughout the world.

Data Protection

The Client shall ensure that it has in place all necessary consents in connection with Personal Data to allow ThinkBuzan at all times to perform the Training Services without infringing any third party rights. ThinkBuzan shall not be liable to perform the Training Services to the extent it is unable to due to a breach of this Clause.

ThinkBuzan warrants to the Client that it will only use the Personal Data for the purpose of carrying out its obligations hereunder and that it will ensure that all reasonable and appropriate security measures are in place to protect the Personal Data and that it will destroy or deliver up the Personal Data upon written demand from the Client, and further, that it has in all respects complied with its obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 (UK) and any amendments to or re-enactments thereof.
