Kiyotaka Shimoji, the instructor, has practiced a number of martial arts since he was a teenager. He is a master of Okinawan Karate, Chinese Martial Arts, and Aikido (art of weaponless self-defense). Among these, he is especially acquainted with the Chinese Martial Arts which he has practiced over 13 years. And he has traveled to China for his training. He truly loves martial arts.

He views that the Mind Map system and martial arts share many qualities. For instance, it is a way of living to learn, to improve, and to create which are the characteristics also found in martial arts. And he believes that these characteristics indicate human identities.

At a food production company where he is one of the board members, he was successful of acquiring the certified ISO9001-HACCP by utilizing Mind Map system, and he delivered From the farm to a table policy. Since the approval of the HACCP, he instructs and has seminars on the HACCP and on food sanitation as a certified instructor.

In KS Marketing Office Ltd., where he is the CEO and a marketing consultant, he has also been successful in protecting intellectual property such as trademark right.
