Larry, originally from Toronto Canada, has lived and worked in Japan for more than 25 years.

At the beginning of 2009, after 20 years of experience working as a training and development specialist for large global corporations, Larry started his own consulting firm (Eleven Doors Consulting http://www.elevendoorsconsulting.com) focusing on the areas of management/executive development. He works with his clients to help them design and deliver programs aimed at creating leaders capable of succeeding in a global environment.

He also continues to pursue his passion for creativity and helping people develop their creative thinking skills. He has co-founded an organization called The Creative Fitness Group (http://www.thecreativefitnessgroup.com) with the goal of providing workshops where participants can expand, practice, and develop their creative thinking skills. And in the process, many of our participants discover talents they never new they had.

Prior to starting his own company, Larry was the Director for Learning & Development at Citigroup in Japan. He was responsible for analyze corporate training needs and then selecting and scheduling appropriate courses; he designed and delivered programs himself when the need arose and, as part of the Global Executive Development team, he accredited in and delivered leadership programs for Citigroup senior management.

Prior to working at Citigroup, Larry was the regional training manager for EDS. He was located in Japan but worked with EDS units around Asia Pacific implement leadership and technical training programs. It was during his time with EDS that Larry was introduced to Tony Buzan and MindMapping. EDS adapted Tony’s program and made it integral part of their leadership development curriculum. Larry has been an active and dedicated mindmapper since that time and in May of 2010 became a Master Trainer for the iMindMap software.

Larry originally came to Japan to teach English Literature at Tokai University, where he spent four years. He retains a connection with the academic world as a member of the staff of Anaheim University where he teaches HR Management and Organizational Behavior in their MBA programs.
