Aykut Ackalmaz was born in 1977 in Istanbul. He graduated from the Department of Economics at the Kocaeli University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He completed his M.Ed at Yeditepe University Institute of Educational Sciences in the Department of Educational Administration and Supervision. He became acquainted with NLP when he attended an NLP Practitioners' Course in 1996. Later, he attended an NLP Master Practitioners' Course. The courses he took in the first place are as follows:

• NLP Practitioner
• NLP Master Practitioner
• Life Coaching
• Educational Coaching

Additionally, he spent time in the UK attending some courses given by Tony Buzan, one of the world’s leading authorities on brain and learning. These courses were;

• Speed Reading Techniques
• Memorization Techniques
• Mind Mapping
• Effective Learning Techniques

He went to Cardiff to Buzan Online and became an imindmap licensed instructor and master trainer in 2009.

He prepares competitors for the Turkish Memoriad (memory championship) with his newly developed techniques.

Mucahit Akoz , who is the champion of Numbers Marathon in the 3rd Turkish Memory Championship in 2009 , is his student.

Besides learning, he also has been teaching elementary school children at YAY Learning Centre and at various consultancy centres. Those courses include:

• I Like Maths
• Memorisation Techniques
• Speed Reading

Among the courses he has been teaching to adults are Memorization Techniques, Speed Reading, Life without Conflicts and Educational Coaching. He also provides educational coaching and life coaching to adults. He also worked with the young swimmers of the Galatasaray National Team. His hobbies are playing tennis, skiing and swimming.

He is a member of the International Coaching Federation of Turkey.
