Helen Whitten founded Positiveworks London in 1993. She has created a unique package of integrated strategies to enable individuals, managers and teams to meet everyday challenges and perform at their peak. Her philosophy is that positive people deliver positive results and her methods enhance creativity, motivation and excellence in personal and team performance.
Helen is a lively speaker and coach, working with individuals and teams in major organisations throughout the world. She applies Cognitive-Behavioural and Neuro-Linguistic Programming methodology to produce practical thinking systems that develop individual confidence, enabling people to break through old patterns of behaviour to achieve greater potential in their lives and in their careers.
As Deputy Chair of the Work-Life Balance Trust Helen was influential in raising awareness within organisations and government of the importance of balance to personal productivity, health and corporate social responsibility. She has written and produced 2 CDRoms on this subject – How to Survive Life Positively and Help Yourself to a Better Life. She has also developed interactive software, Launching Yourself, with colleague Diane Carrington, designed to build confidence and balance in young people entering the workplace.
Helen has written three books: YOUR MIND AT WORK, Developing Self Knowledge for Business Success, published by Kogan Page in 2000; FUTURE DIRECTIONS, Practical Ways to Develop Emotional Intelligence and Confidence in Young People, published by Network Continuum; AGE MATTERS, Employing Managing and Motivating the Older Workforce which addresses the issues of the ageing workforce published by Gower.
Helen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, The Institute of Directors, The Association for Coaching, and the International Stress Management Association. She has a degree in History from King's College, London University; and a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management. She has qualifications in cognitive-behavioural methodology, REBT and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and also trained with Tony Buzan. She is qualified to analyse and process the HBDI Herrmann Thinking Preference Profile and the Success Dynamics DiSC Personality at Work Profile and applies these profiles to individual coaching and to teambuilding. Helen is an Accredited Coach with the Association for Coaching and is on the AC Accreditation Assessor team.
