Sometimes life is too complicated to be neatly divided up into different boxes – there will always be cross-overs and overlaps. Relationships are a clean and simple way to show that two ideas or areas are connected.
You can draw a Relationship from the end of any branch in your map, to the end of any other branch. If the outcome of a meeting on one side of your Weekly Planner map is going to directly affect a report you have to do the other side of your map, you can show this with a relationship arrow so it’s taken into consideration.
Relationships can also come in very handy when you’re working with MultiMaps. If a branch on one map is linked to a branch on another map on your canvas, a Relationship can act as an anchor between them. In 3D View, this gets fun. The Relationship acts as a hot spot, and clicking on it will fly you over to the related branch on the other Mind Map.
