FAQs

You can download the App for the iPhone from iTunes.

Visit the iPhone product page and click on the iTunes button on the left-hand side of the page. This will then take you to the iTunes site where you can download the App.

We are pleased to say the iMindMap Mobile Pro App can also be used on the iPod Touch, as well as the iPhone.
The iMindMap Mobile Pro App is available in several languages.

These include English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese and Japanese.

We are pleased to say that you can export your iMindMaps from your iPhone to your desktop version of iMindMap.
  • In order to do this you will need to have the iMindMap desktop version installed on your computer.
  • If you do not already have the iMindMap software on your computer you can download a free 7 day trial by visiting our website.
  • iMindMap is also available to purchase in 3 different editions from our website. You can visit our product page to purchase.
  • When you export a map it will be sent from your iPhone to an email in .imm file format.
  • To export your Map:
1) Select the Central Idea image of the Mind Map you wish to export.
2) Tap the Edit button on the Map Edit screen.
3) Select Export Map.
4) The Map is then added as an attachment to an email.
5) You can enter the recipient’s email address, you are able to send it to as many recipients as you want.

Additionally, the new iMindMap Mobile Pro App has enhanced export options that allow you to export as png and pdf files as well. Whichever file types you select are added to a zip file that is attached to an email when you choose export.

Unfortunately you cannot transfer maps from the iMindMap Mobile App to the iMindMap Mobile Pro app.
Unfortunately you cannot import maps from iMindMap desktop to your iPhone with this version of the iMindMap Mobile Pro App.

This is something we are looking into developing to allow you more flexibility with your Mind Mapping.

We are currently researching other smartphone Apps that iMindMap can be developed on.

This is something we are extremely keen to develop due to our aim to promote Mind Mapping to as many people as possible.

In iMindMap Mobile Pro v1.1 we have changed the font in the exported maps to be more compatible with Windows.

However, different viewers render PDFs in different ways and if you are still having any problems we have found that the free viewer Foxit PDF Reader gives the best results on Windows.

To learn how to create a map, select the information icon within the iMindMap Mobile Pro App. This is located on the homepage bottom right-hand corner when you first enter the App.

There are many different features that you can make use of on iMindMap for the iPhone App.

To add a link to a website:

  • Select the branch you wish to add the link to, you will know it’s selected because it will turn red
  • Select Edit
  • Select Add New Branch Link
  • Type in the URL link you wish to add
  • An icon will now appear on the branch you added the link to
  • Finally access link select the branch again and click Edit, you will then see the link so just select it

To add a note:

  • Select the branch you wish to add the link to, you will know it’s selected because it will turn red
  • Select Edit
  • Select Branch Note
  • Type the note you wish to add
  • An icon will now appear on the branch you added the note to
  • To access the note select the branch again and click Edit
  • Then select Branch Note so you can view the note

To add an image:

  • Select the branch you wish to add the link to, you will know it’s selected because it will turn red
  • Select Edit
  • Select Add New Branch Icon
  • Choose a category from the list and then the image you wish to display
  • The image will then be added to the branch
  • To delete the image select the branch and click edit – then select the red delete icon next to the image
