Phil Chambers is the reigning World Mind Mapping Champion. He is a six times Mind Sports Olympiad Medallist and International Grandmaster of Mind Mapping.

He has been a Buzan Licensed Instructor since 1995, trained by Tony Buzan (originator of Mind Mapping) and Vanda North (founder of Buzan Centres) and is an iMind Map Accredited Master Trainer.

In addition to this, he is a Registered Accelerated Learning Trainer, a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and a member of the Professional Speakers Association.

Prior to entering the training profession, Phil worked as a computer programmer for the Royal Bank of Scotland and has a BSc in Physics and Chemistry from the University of Durham. Drawing on this scientific background, he is one of the few people to successfully apply Mind Mapping to mathematics.

Phil is Chief Arbiter of the World Memory Sports Council and co-organises the UK and World Memory Championships. He is a founder member of the Mind Sports Council and his contribution to Mind Sports won him the "Special Services to Memory" award in 1996.

He is co-author of "A Mind to do Business", "The Student Survival Guide", "The Memory Yearbook 2008" and "The Memory Arbiters' Handbook" and sole author of "101 Top Tips for Better Mind Maps". He has been featured in newspapers and magazines as well as TV and Radio interviews.
